World Football Postulant

I’ve put off making this page for too long.  Consider it a work in progress, and I will add to it as I remember relevant information.  It should eady to have this disclaimer deleted around World Cup South Africa.

Purpose

World Football Postulant give me a chance to write about football.  There are a few other sites that have been gracious enough to allow me to write for them, but in this space I have a less-structured forum for writing about whatever interests me in the football world.  And that’s the only restriction:  football.  Because there are six continents and countless leagues and clubs worth of football to write about, you probably will not have to deal with my thoughts on much else (though who knows were the comment threads will eventually go).  World Football Postulant is and always will be a football site.

While writing about football is what WFP gives me a chance to do, my real goal is to interact with other football fans.  Your participation in this site is important.

About the Author

My name is Richard.  I live in the southwest United States.  I have a 8a-5p job.  I don’t own a television.

From the last three facts, you will be able to discern many of the influences on this blog.  The first fact is largely irrelevant.

Posts - Format and Content

Because of the constraints on my time, this site will never be about breaking news.  That really does not interest me anyway.  This is going to be an opinion and analysis-driven site, something which hopefully will not be limited to the author.  Again, this is where comments - your participation - comes in.

My goal is to provide sources for everything about which I write.  For almost every post, there is a Links section at the bottom.   I don’t want to give anybody the impression that anything on this site is that original.

Footballing Favorites

I follow European club football primarily, and being an English speaker I tend to get more information on the English Premier League.  That bias means the EPL gets more attention here, but do not take that as an endorsement.  I seek out matches from La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Eredivisie and Portugal’s Superliga.  It’s just a matter of being able to get the video.

I also watch as much Russian Premier League, Brasileirao, and Major League Soccer as time permits. I’m also trying to expand into Argentina.  All of these leagues are fair game.

If want to use you anything you find on this site, odds are you can.  Just ask.  Use the Contact page.  If you are interested in me writing for your site, I’m probably interested in writing for you.  There is no shortage of words coming from these fingers.  Again, use the Contact page.

Errors

If you find an error on the site, please comment making fun of me.  Particularly, if I say a player is good and he is actually very, very bad, let me have it.

Use of Images

The images I use are no mine.  I do not own the copyrights.  If you want more information on any of them, let me know.  If you have a problem with any of their use, I’ll probably take them down.
